Ron's Rotary Insight

 
This past meeting Ron delighted us, in true Ron Fashion, with a quiz on all things Rotary.  Here are the answers to his questions.
  1. The Un designated November 19th, as World Toilet Day.
  2. WASRAG stands for the Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group.
  3. This week’s Rotary Weekly article was on the special event Palais des Nations in Geneva.
  4. The original function was at the Headquarters of the League of Nations.
  5. The functions name was Rotary Day at the League of Nations.
  6. Deborah Walters is known as Maine’s Kayaking Grandma.
  7. Deborah tried to paddle Maine to Guatemala.
  8. Safe Pawnage is the people who make a living by the pilfering the Guatemala dump.
  9. The dump is 40 acres.
  10. Hanley Penning sold all her belongings and used the proceeds to start Safe Passage.  She built a school and offered students a bag of food a month to attend.
