Setup for DockFest went smoothly. The Registration and BBQ crew had a few minutes of singing and dancing during setup. Unfortunately I was unable to post those pictures for your viewing pleasure. There was plenty of time to register volunteers and boaters and direct them to their designated area and contact person.

The Pancake breakfast was slow to start and most of the sales came in later in the morning. Deb did a phenomenal job organizing her team and being ready for rush orders. Huntsville mayor Claude Doughty helped with the pancake breakfast for about an hour. He was overheard commenting he is not sure what he will do now that his last term of mayor is coming to a close. He was asked if he was willing to return to DockFest as a honorary celebrity chef next year and he gave a non committal reply. All Rotarian's on the 2015 DockFest committee have a year to convince him to continue his participation.

The Parade started at 11 am. Huntsville Olympic Gold Medallist Dara Howel, all tub drivers and supporters participated. There were some very interesting tub designs this year. Muskoka Cross Fit's pirate tub was a crowd favourite. The NyDock band gave a great performance on their parade float. They had an all male band singing live with beautiful woman dancing around them.

The activities for the kids was fantastic and even the kids at heart enjoyed themselves. The bouncy castle was always bouncing, and face painting was so popular. The original t-shirt decorating and making a wish tents were an awesome additions to the family friendly activities. Tawingo did a very nice job keeping the young children happy with the various craft projects. Hula Hoop dancing was a great addition to the festivities and both young and slightly older participated.

The adult crowd kept the beer tent hoping and busy. The BBQ was on the entire event and the food was great!

Our Pit Crew adapted quickly when the MC dock moved into the race course. They continued on and the races were under way relatively on time.

Everyone who helped out at the pit made the hard work look smooth and effortless, and the score keepers were quick to make sure they had a clear view of the racers during each heat.

The most memorable moment in the races were when Cross Fit's pirate tub decided to concentrate on showmanship instead of winning and sunk the Remax tub in the heat before the finals. As fun, and funny as the pirate tub was, our hat goes off to the BIA and HBR for winning the 2014 Rotary DockFest! Congratulations to all Rotarians for making 2014 Rotary DockFest a great success!
