A New Poverty Reduction Initiative for The Muskoka Region

Allan was born on the beautiful Isle of Cape Breton.

He was educated at Loyola, Concordia, The Atlantic School Of Theology and Princeton

Allan was ordained into the United Church of Canada in 1980 at Sherbrooke, Quebec

He has served pastorates in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Alberta, Quebec and Ontario.

In 2009 he accepted a commission the rank of Captain in The Canadian Armed Forces and completed Basic Training (boot Camp) at the age of 54.

Allan spent the next seven years as a padre, with deployments to The Role Four Military Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany and as the Padre to CFS Alert near the North Pole.

Since retiring from the military he has served as the Minister at Trinity United church in Gravenhurst.
