Our speaker today was former Rotarian Larry Mitchell. Larry was the charter president of the North Muskoka Club. He is also the owner of Mitchell Funeral Home in Huntsville the last family owned funeral business in Muskoka. Larry spoke about the benefits of Prearranging your departure 1. It gives the funeral director an opportunity to gather information necessary for an obituary and to do the legal aspects of the event. 2. Recording your wishes as a guideline to the family burial or cremation visitation service and location 3. Prepayment to guard against inflation Larry encouraged us to write our own Obituary now. It might make you think of something on your bucket list that has not been done. There was a lively discussion around spreading of ashes, different types of body disposition including water (not burial at sea) Thanks Larry for your presentation.
