Satellite Club update
Thank you for providing an update to the Club. Here are some things we are working on:

  • Rotary Road Rally / Scavenger Hunt is a great success so far with the potential to be an annual event. The concept, registurants will be given (via email) 20 riddles (they have to solve at least 10. The riddles take them to beautiful, tranquil places in and around the Huntsville area. When they arrive at the scenic destination they snap a selfie and carry on. There are also prizes to be won. The event numbers so far :
    • $4500 in sponsorship
    • 23 cars registered and 1 motorcycle
  • Chrysalis House
    • Participants are shaping up nicely from all 3 clubs (yes the Morning club was invited to help)
    • The flooring has been ordered
    • The timing has been pushed back a bit to October / November as per Chrysalis House request
  • New Member Update
    • A new member will be inducted at our next meeting. An introduction will be sent around shortly introducing everyone to Natalie Little who has already jumped in and is volunteering with the auction committee
  • Shelter Box Canada
    • The Satellite Club donated $600 to Shelter Box Canada in support of the Haiti support initiative
  • Bottle Drive
    • The bottle drive is still our number one way of raising funds for the Satellite Club. Raising over $4000 to date.
  • Pierogi Making
    • Once again the Satellite Club will be volunteering for the Rotary Club of North Muskoka to help them in their pierogi making as it is their number one fundraiser.

Bingo Schedule

Thanks for your responses to the Bingo inquiry. Here is a proposed schedule until end of Oct. We will take stock at that time and possibly flip out a few people to give them a break. I think 6 weeks between gigs for phone people is long enough or you don't remember what to do.
If you can't make a shift please trade with someone.
Thanks for helping out.
