Past President Len Ross passed away on April 5 2026. Len was president 2012-2013  and 2023-2025. Len was a Paul Harris Society Member and a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation.  He will be missed by the Rotary Club of Huntsville.

Debbie has recently received the Queen Elizabeth II Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship to recognize her lasting impact on our Community as an advocate for accessibility and inclusion. She has strengthened accessible transit, public spaces, housing and employment.

Sponge Bob the Musical   

Many from our club enjoyed the annual HFA/Rotary play last Friday. Over 70 talented locals put in thousands of hours on this show. The singing and dancing were amazing. The costumes were incredible.  Tickets are still available for performance on Friday April 17 7:30 and Saturday Sunday matinees. Tell your friends.

Foundation Funding

Mary Blomquist, a Rotarian from North Carolina and author of "The Scammer Slammer," presented a workshop on staying safe from scams and fraud to the Huntsville Rotary Club. She covered common scam types including phone scams, email phishing, social media romance scams, and tech support scams, sharing specific examples and warning signs to watch for. Mary emphasized the importance of trusting instincts, practicing the "pause" before taking action, and verifying identities before providing sensitive information. The presentation included information about Canadian anti-fraud resources, particularly the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center website, and concluded with tips for protecting personal information and reporting scams to authorities.
