Rotarian of the Year
Dr Drew Markham was named as the 2019-2020 Rotarian of the Year.
It was noted that he helped increase membership by almost 50%. He presented an opportunity for our club to be involved in one of Huntsville's greatest needs, attainable housing through our donations to Habitat for Humanity. Drew participated in the HHART mission to the Dominican Republic. The Markham's hosted Charles Galibert through the pandemic time. Drew kept our club running through a very difficult few months where meetings were successfully held via Zoom.
A very worthy choice for Rotarian of the Year.
Presidential turnover
Our President's Night meeting was a time to reflect on the past year of Drew Markham's presidency and turn the position over to President Elect Ron Strickland.
Drew thanked the 3 Past Presidents that he earned from Brandy, Jennifer and Kim as well as Diastrict Governor Bill for his excellent guidance. The year provided many learning opportunities and a chance to build a stronger culture in our club.
His highlights were the Accessible playground at HPS , the 50% growth in membership with the introduction of the satelitte group., an improved auction and Dockfest, a successful Family Day bowling , our support of Youth in the community, the expansion of our Bingo, being number 3 in the District for Foundation givings.
A great year Drew

Incoming President Ron faces some different challenges this year. His budget calls for $75,000 in contributions to the community and the world from our fundraising in an environment where we have already had to cancel a major fundraiser in Dockfest.
His question to the Club is How Can We Do It?
Ask where am I needed, Offer an Opinion, Volunteer your Services, Embrace the Opportunity.

Good Luck Ron
Great Meal
Thanks to Debbie K and West Side Fish and Chips for providing a great Meal for Presidents Night.
It was a little different than normal but still very enjoyable.
