Rotary Club of Huntsville Meeting Notes , June 7 2023 President Jennifer opened the zoom meeting by welcoming everyone. Land Acknowledgement: Jennifer gave a land acknowledgement in the spirit of reconciliation. A toast was made to the King, Canada, and Rotary. Guests: Exchange student Aneta, ADG Andrew Smellie, Rose Young, Connor Ryan, Nick Paroschy Jennifer gave her words of gratitude. Adrian spoke about the Guatemala Dental and Medical facility project A District Grant for $2000 matched by us for the Water Distribution Plant Looking to do a Global Grant for Dr Roldan's Medical Centre The signage for the Trans Canada Trail has arrived and we will be setting it out from Novar to Bracebridge Still need Chairs for our Comunications and Club Admin positions and any committee that needs financing is advised to submit a budget to Rob and Len ASAP We received a Thank you card from the Town Employees for the BBQ that we did for the Employee appreciation event Volunteers are needed for July 1 Canada Day celebrations at Muskoka Heritage Place We are cooking Back Bacon on a Bun between 9 and 1pm This is a fundraiser for us. We have awarded 4 bursaries of $1600 each to worthy High School grads attending University this fall Team Up to Clean up on Sunday at 10am meet at Huntsville High to get you assignment Our next meeting is June 21 at the Hospital Foundation office for a tour of the Nuclear Medicine area and presentation of the 1st cheque. In July we are giving the Legion Ladies a break and going to Boston Pizza for 2 meetings July 5 and July 19th July 4th is the ANETA Farewell BBQ at President Jen's house
