Our guest speaker from Feb 2 was our newest Rotarian Bill Clarke Bill has joined Rotary out of a desire to be involved in our projects and because his wife asked "Don't you have to be somewhere" Bill is a retired VP from Aecon ,one of Canada's largest construction firms. He is now working in Business Development for Bird Construction another large commercial industrial construction company. Bill has Port Sydney roots. His parents purchased Pine Lodge in 1945 and Bill got his hospitality training there. We all were impressed by his youthful exploits of Delta wing hang gliding on a 1000 foot rope over Mary Lake and his time as a Snowmobile racer for the Bombardier Race Team. He worked for Fowler Construction building at Grandview and Deerhurst and then on to 9 years in Fowler USA division in Richmond Virginia. At Aecon he worked in the Water and Sewer Division and as VP Indigenous Affairs building remote training centres in Northern Ontario. Bill's previous volunteer activities include the Fairy Vista Trail committee and the Port Sydney Chamber of Commerce. Welcome to the Rotary Club of Huntsville, Bill Clarke
