Announcements:

We received cards of Thanks from the Salvation Army for helping with the Kettle Drive and from Mind Aid for our $1500 donation

 

Ruth Bell Towns from the Rotary Club of Bracebridge invited us to attend their Musical and Gala   They are doing Billy Elliott starting on Feb 22  Gala tickets are available at $70 

 

President Len had a shout out for our Rotary/HFA set builders  Doug Fairhall Peter Redwood Dan James Bill Pritchard and Will Gibson for another quality job  Here are some set pics

 

 

Dockfest Update

Jamie Thompson gave an update on progress towards Dockfest 2024 June 29th 2024 as part of the Canada Day weekend celebrations

 

Nydock is 100% behind the project with $10,000 sponsorship and assistance in redesigning the course.
District 7010 will be adding a Liability insurance rider of $5MM.

They had many adventures including attending weddings of people they didn't know, touring with a Ghandi look alike to ensure they did not have to wait in line at any venue and many close encounters with cows and monkeys. They also had a side visit to the Maldive islands which looked gorgeous. While India itself looked like a real eye opener, the friendship of the local Rotarians was what made the trip memorable.
