Lynne Strickland, Norm Dussault, (guest of Bryon Loxton), Brian Thonmpson from Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise, (guest of Charles Bridle), and our guest speaker Dr. Laurie Houston.
Jamie Thompson provided an update on Dockfest. All the tubs are sold and tub repairs are near completion. Delivery of the tubs will begin upon completion of repairs. The parade has 40 entries and should be a success. A volunteer list was circulated during the meeting. Volunteers are still needed. This year’s event will as in the past include entertainment between the heats, food and beverage vendors in Rivermill Park, as well as a tent hosted by Rotary and the Hospital Foundation promoting our club and offering the opportunity to donate to the hospital foundation. The funds raised through Dockfest this year are being donated to the hospital foundation.
